Log house is one of the oldest house construction methods. Throughout the centuries the log house has endured the test of time and even now days you can find log houses in major cities that are built in the beginning of the 20th century. In rural areas still you can find log houses that are hundred and more years old and still fulfil their function.

In before war in Baltic states there were more that 150 000 wood houses and the most part of them were log houses. All these houses were made by local craftsmen. During the war and the Soviet times most of these houses were destroyed.
